I want to be famous.

When I was a little girl, I remember my father encouraging me to recite, sing, and even dance. For a long time, I fell in love with my music, striving to express myself through dance and poetry. I believed I was an artist. I now understand that I was trying to be someone my father envisioned for me.

I realize that my father wanted me to achieve dreams he could only imagine. I longed for fame, wanting to be known for my music, dancing, or any artistic passion my father instilled in me. That didn’t happen.

However, after I wrote and published a memoir, I discovered that I had fulfilled my father’s dreams in my own unique way. I no longer seek fame; instead, I aspire to one day thank my father in heaven for teaching me about life, love, and the pursuit of my own happiness.
