"Born Again in America" proved to be a captivating memoir that immediately drew me in. Meeting the author at our local library added a personal touch to the experience. The memoir details the author's journey from Cuba to America, escaping communism to fulfill her father's dream. Sharing the same cities as the author, the story resonated with me, reflecting the challenges my own family faced. The author's determination, struggle, and ultimate success in earning a degree and crafting her life story make this memoir a truly uplifting and relatable read. It has inspired in me a hope to one day mirror that level of determination.
